Impostori! Verità e menzogna nella narrativa contemporanea

Abstract

The question of lying in literature opens up when this one leads to the upper grade of truth. And this happens in the last years, when the non fiction narrative is at the centre of the critical debate. After an introduction on some basic fondaments of this question, which deal with the contamination between history and legend in the stories of our historical and religious traditions, this essay analyses some of the most representative authors of this literary genre: Emmanuel Carrère, Javier Cercas, Mauro Covacich.
