Abstract

The aim of this work is to bring together two seemingly distant disciplines, phenomenology and literature, thanks to the concept of the phenomenological unconscious. The first part of this work will be devoted to a reflection on the possibilities of talking about the unconscious in phenomenology. The unconscious will be used in operational terms, highlighting the way in which constituent life operates. Secondly, the positions of Fink and Sartre will be brought into continuity in order to highlight the relationship between unconscious constitutive life and human reality. This necessitates a reflection on the way in which the impersonal dimension in Sartre and the world of desire are intertwined. Finally, the self-critical implications of these premises will be highlighted. The paradoxical theme of communication in phenomenology will be explored. This leads to a problematisation of the linguistic and metaphorical dimension that phenomenology must possess in order to engage with the world. The theoretical implications of language open up common ground between literature and phenomenology. Keywords: Fink, Sartre, literature, unconscious, world.
