'Paz en la guerra' desde la filosofía de Schopenhauer

Una interpretación del joven Unamuno

Abstract

This work shows the influence exerted by the German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer on the Spanish intellectual Miguel de Unamuno. The paper deals with the presence of relevant Schopenhauerian notions in the first stage of Unamuno’s career, during the last decade of the 19th century. Namely, I will focus on the Schopenhauerian traces behind notions like contemplation and illusory history in the historical novel Paz en la guerra, published in 1897.
